A rare 1936 Aston Martin MK Saloon spent 50 years in a garage and is now selling for R881 647, according to the Daily Mail.
The model was bought by Philip Kenyon in 1951 for as little as R4808. Kenyon was a electrical engineer at the time, developing radar systems for World War ll.
The rare Aston Martin is one of the 24 models ever made by the well-known British marque and only few of these models have survived up until now. Some rusted, while others are still well maintained and in a very good condition.

Kenyon drove this car for 10 years, taking his family on holidays to Lake District and Wales, but sadly in 1971 the car was put in to storage after the handbrake cable snapped. Unfortunately, Philip never managed to repair it.
After the death of one of his daughters, the car is now being sold on behalf of the family by auction house H&H classics of Warrington.
The car, powered by a 1.5-litre, four cylinder engine, is tipped to sell for exactly R881 647 and once the car is fully restored, the total price can go up to R3 205 989 The sale will take place on June 19 at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridge.
