Nevada - Officers from the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) came across a Volkswagen Jetta in the desert.

What was strange about the abandoned car? It was perched on a large boulder. 

The NHP Southern Command tweeted  images of the car on June 20 and since then it has created quite a stir, with more than 20 000 retweets and 500 replies. 

NHP tweeted: "If the person who drove their car onto a rock leaving #edc this morning wants their car they can come talk to NHP Troopers to get it back."

The car was reportedly abandoned following an electronic music festival which took place over the weekend in the area.

Motorists were reportedly stopping to take photographs causing a traffic jam.
