• Italian supercar maker Lamborghini teamed up with the Italian Sea Group to build a motor yacht.

• The Tecnoma for Lamborghini 63 is powered by two MAN V12 engines producing close to 3000kW.

• The company says the first example will be ready by early 2021.

Supercar maker Lamborghini says its first super yacht built in collaboration with the Italian Sea Group will be available at the beginning of 2021.

Named the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, referencing the Italian carmaker's foundation brings together 'innovative engineering solutions and a distinct design unique to shared Italian style and tradition'.

The Italian Sea Group drew inspiration from Lamborghini's super sports cars' performance. Speaking of performance, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is powered by two MAN V12-1500kW engines, has a top speed of 60 knots and will be the fastest of the Tecnomar fleet.

Its carbon fibre material structure means the yacht firmly in the ultra-lightweight boat classification, with its close to 20-metre length weighing in at just 24 tons.

High-tech construction

The hull and the superstructure are created from a high-performance shell, developed by naval engineers specializing in hydrodynamic sciences and draws inspiration from the Miura and Countach cars designed by Marcello Gandini.

The hard top is inspired by Lamborghini roadsters: providing sun and wind protection. See, it can be practical too.

Inside, the yacht’s instrument panel fuses the car cockpit in a nautical style, it even has integrated navigation and control systems.

There's lots of details finished in carbon fibre, like with Lambo's cars and even has the company's 'Carbon Skin' used in the sports seats and on the helm, styled as the super sports car’s steering wheel.

The fighter-jet style start/stop button, (two, one for each engine) are exactly the same used to start a Lamborghini engine.

The first boat will be available at the beginning of 2021.
