London England - Earlier in 2015, Wheels24 reported that the 2016 European Car of the Year finalists were announced. A total of 41 finalists were selected.
After two stages of voting the list has been whittled down to the 'final seven' in December.
The winner will be revealed at the 2016 Geneva auto show in February. Audi has claimed the title twice and Opel four times. Fiat holds the most wins with nine, followed by Renault (six) and Ford's (five).

To be a contender a vehicle needs to be on sale in 2015 or at least by the end of the year. The list includes an great mix of vehicles from hatchbacks to sport cars.
