Women see Harry as ideal driving pal

LONDON, England - A poll, celebrating the launch of the fashion-inspired special edition Seat Mii has revealed British women's top travelling companions.

And it's Prince Harry who topped the list with 25% of those questioned keen on having the handsome British Royal next to them on their journey. Footballer/businessman David Beckham was second with 21% but his wife Victoria didn’t fair so well - she scored only six percent of the vote.

The Seat UK poll, conducted by Opinion Matters, asked 1146 British women drivers aged from 17 to 55 who their choice would be.

TOP FEMALE COMPANION

'Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence topped the list (18%) for ultimate female companion followed by Prince Harry’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton (17%) and Beyonce (10%).

It seems nobody wants their driving judged, as 'Pop Idol' judge Simon Cowell received a mere eight percent of votes. British pop singer Harry Styles received five percent while embattled British prime minister David Cameron will find no comfort his three percent - though some might say "as expected".

When questioned about the age-old driving battle of the sexes, the poll showed 70% consider themselves to be far more skilled behind the wheel than males. What about directions? Here 49% of respondents believed they had a better sense of direction than males.

THE SEAT MII

The Seat Mii, by Mango city car,  is available in the UK exclusively in either 'nude' or black with contrasting interiors, including Alcantara upholstery (three or five-door options).  The car has grey external mirrors, special 15" alloy rims, chromed door strips and a spacious boot.

The Seat Mii is priced from the equivalent of  R190 895.
