Voting booth: Kia Rio in front

The 2013 SA Car of Year finalists were chosen by a limited number of South African motoring writers who have narrowed the list down from hundreds to 12 models.

Vehicles will be judged in the metal in February 2013 for their aesthetics, build quality, ergonomics, fuel consumption, safety, handling, performance and - most important - value for money.

The winner will be announced in March 2013. We'll let you know...

Have your say on the next Car of the Year in our voting booth. We'll be running our home page voting booth until March 2013 when the official Coty will be named.

Toyota's 86 (356 votes) lies fourth followed by the Range Rover Evoque (299) and Hyundai i130 (135).
