Vehicles will be judged in the metal in February 2013 for their aesthetics, build quality, ergonomics, fuel consumption, safety, handling, performance and - most important - value for money.

Wheels24 wants its readers - yes, that includes you! - to have your say about choosing South Africa's next Car of the Year. We'll be running our home page voting booth fthrough until to March 2013 when the official COTY announcement will be made - but will it be the correct one according to popular opinion?

On our homepage you can track how other readers have voted or click on individual models to find out more about them before you do.

Currently our voting booth has garnered 444 votes. Ford's Ranger (103) has narrowly pipped Kia's Rio (93) to take an early lead, with BMW's 3 Series third with 70 votes.

Toyota's 86 (56 votes) lies in fourth place followed by the Range Rover Evoque (45) and Hyundai i130 (32). In last place is Toyoya's new Yaris. With five moths left it's still too early to tell who will come out tops.
