Vote: Readers' SA Car of the Year

The SA Car of the Year finalists have been named but which model would you vote for? We asked our readers to vote and our Coty poll has garnered nearly 2500 votes. Which model is in the lead...?

Wheels24 reported on 40 semi-finalists in the 2014 Car of the Year competition in September. In October 2013, the nine finalists were named at the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show.

We asked our readers which car they'd like to see claim the 2014 SA Coty title and our  home page voting booth
has so far garnered 2475 votes. Volvo's V40 has taken an early lead with 727 votes. Lexus' IS 350 (412) and VW's Golf 7 (321) are in second and third place.

Trailing stone last, possibly due to the 2013 SA Coty fiasco, is the Porsche Cayman S with 101.

Judges will evaluate the vehicles at the Gerotek test facility west of Pretoria in January 2014 and the winner will be revealed in March.
