Tigra ad 'too sexual'

accreditation

Tim Hendon, spokesperson for GMSA, confirmed the company received several complaints from viewers and that GMSA had decided to pull the ad.

One of the complainants, Mr A van Rooy, expressed his dissatisfaction last week and said the advertisement had a strong sexual undertone. He added the theme of the ad, Take it off, encouraged women to take off their tops in the same way the car had to take down its roof.

In one of the shots a preschool girl takes off her shirt and is left wearing only a pair of panties. Van Rooy said this could be construed as child pornography.

There are also several scenes where women appear topless, their breasts hidden by graphics.
