SPIED: Renault's 2015 Koleos

Renault's Koleos SUV was undergoing hot-climate tests in southern Europe when our spy photographers snapped some images of the car.

The most recent model was launched in South Africa early in February 2014 and already there is a refreshed version in the pipeline.

By the looks of the images, the car seems to be close to production in terms of styling. According to photographers, Renault first tested chassis and mechanics well-hidden under what looked like a high-riding Scenic.

Renault has also confirmed that the new model follows a design similar to that of the  R-Space Concept, which was shown at the 2011 Geneva auto show.

The automaker says the new Koleos will "grow in size and will be a mixture between a crossover and MPV".

The new Koleos will make its global debut early in 2015.
