Smart is gearing up to launch its new generation ForTwo in 2014. Spy photographers spotted the new city car undergoing testing in Sweden.
The new ForTwo will also form the base for a stretched version of the city car called the Smart ForTwo+2.

The ForTwo+2 will accommodate four people and have rear doors, making access into the tiny rear somewhat easier. The added length for the back seat is accommodated by an extended wheelbase.
An additional variant will make the Smart range more competitive with rivals such as the Chevrolet Spark.
Both Smarts will remain rear-wheel drive, keeping the engine below the floor.
Although currently unnamed, it is rumoured that Smart will keep ForTwo+2 moniker. The new variant will be the automaker’s first four-seat vehicle since the failed ForFour.
The new ForTwo will be available with several engine options including a hybrid and electric motor.
