The next Qashqai will have a more premium design over the outgoing model, borrowing design cues from the Hi-Cross concept showcased at the 2012 Geneva motor show.
The vehicle is expected to ride on the Common Module Family used on the X-Trail. Engines will include a 84kW/190Nm 1.2 turbocharged petrol as well as 1.6 diesel. In 2015, the range is expected to be bolstered with a plug-in hybrid derivative.
