Audi has started the first road trials of its facelifted A8 flagship sedan, which is expected to debut sometime in 2014. These spy shots reveal the updates to styling will be minimal with changes consisting of subtle tweaks to the lights, grille and bumpers.

The interior is likely to receive its own set of subtle updates including internet services, an infotainment system and possibly a redesigned instrument cluster.
It’s not clear if Audi will be planning significant updates to the powertrain lineup. The current three-litre and four-litre TFSI units should be largely unchanged, as should the 6.3-litre W-12.
