MUNICH, Germany - The long anticipated BMW M2 coupe was spotted by Wheels24's spyguys at the snow-covered Nurburgring circuit in German.
The new M2 has an assertive design with a very wide front axle capable of fierce air-channelling. The rear track is wider than on the stock M235i.
Unlike earlier prototypes, the latest test car sports the production front bumper, with typical M-division air intakes, as well as the real front wheel-housing.

M-style twin exhausts are visible on the prototype and its brake callipers appear to be borrowed from the M3 and M4.
Its six-cylinder three-litre engine (code-named N55B30T0) is capable of 283kW. Considering its compact size, performance should be outstanding.
The new BMW M2 coupe will be launched late in 2015 as a 2016 model.
