Senna's face on 2014 Williams cars

LONDON, England - Williams will have a picture of Ayrton Senna on its cars during the 2014 Formula 1 race season, the 20th anniversary of the triple champion's death.

The Brazilian, who won his titles with McLaren, died after crashing his Williams at the Imola circuit in Italy on May 1 1994. His was the most recent death in an F1 GP - an event that sparked a serious look at the dangers drivers faced.

Williams has since then carried the double S logo of the Senna Foundation, started after his death by his sister Vivianne, on its cars; the 2014 cars, however, will have a new tribute on the left of the nose cone with a picture of the driver next to the words 'Ayrton Senna Always'.

CELEBRATING SENNA

Team founder and principal Frank Williams said: "I was very close to Ayrton. This new logo is our way of celebrating his achievements as a racing driver and the sterling work of his foundationis doing to promote educational opportunities in Brazil."

Williams has a number of Brazilian sponsors and Brazilian Felipe Massa has joined from Ferrari as one a drivers.
