GRENOBLE, France - Former Formula 1 multiple champion Michael Schumacher has died - that's the message apparently rampant on social networking sites.
The online edition of Le Point, a French news magazine, said the rumours of Schumacher's alleged death prompted dozens of journalists to flock to the hospital.
HOSPITAL SAYS HE'S ALIVE
Meanwhile, the hospital treating Schumacher has denied the rumours the seven-times world champion had died.
As the rumours spread on social networking sites a spokesperson for the Grenoble hospital told the French news agency AFP: "The hospital denies that Michael Schumacher has died."
