Johannesburg - The SA National Roads Agency has said it will work with new national transport minister Dipuo Peters, queen of traffic fines, to improve national road networks.
Sanral chairperson Tembakazi Mnyaka said: "We are looking forward to working with her in pursuit of our strategic objectives to improve, maintain and operate the South African national road network."
'VERY GRATEFUL'
South African president Jacob Zuma earlier in the week announced a Cabinet reshuffle in which former transport minister Ben Martins became the new energy minister, swopping portfolios with Peters.
Peters added: "We are very grateful for the sterling leadership and guidance that Martins provided in assisting the Sanral board to carry out its mandate."
Wheels24 hopes that she will set a national example and not rack up another R40 000 in traffic fines as we reported back in 2012. You have a duty to Lead South Africa, Ms Peters - it would be a nice change from the behaviour of some of your colleagues.
