Renault is working on a performance version of its third-generation Twingo, which shares a platform with the new Smart ForTwo. Our spy crew captured images of the new Twingo RS undergoing testing.
Just like the Smart Brabus, the performance-tuned ForTwo, the pocket-rocket Twingo sports large wheels, dual exhausts and special cladding to differentiate the RS from the standard variant.
Expect new spoilers, new head and tail lights, a unique grille, modified bumpers plus a sporty interior and possibly more colour options.
TUNED 900cc ENGINE
The new Twingo RS will uses a tuned version of the three-cylinder, 900cc, turbocharged unit powering the Smart ForTwo Brabus capable of 82-100kW.

The engine could be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A lowered sports suspension, improved brakes and possibly changes to the steering and electronics should complete its upgrades.
The Renault Twingo RS could make its debut at the next Geneva auto show in March 2015.
