The 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport (formerly known as the new Freelander) has been spotted by spy photographers in the US.
The redesigned crossover is significantly larger than its predecessor and will reportedly be based on the same platform that underpins the Range Rover Evoque.

The styling is hard to make out but we can clearly see the model will be heavily influenced by the Evoque and Range Rover Sport. As a result, the model has a prominent grille flanked by sweptback headlights.
Spy images reveal a sloping roofline, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and dual exhausts.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but could carry over from the Evoque. This means choices could include a 2.2-litre diesel with 111kW, a 2.2-litre diesel with 141kW and a 2.0-litre petrol with 178kW.
