Earlier in 2013, Wheels24 reported on a prototype ForTwo undergoing testing. In July, a grey prototype with the “swirly” camouflage was spotted, revealing more of the front-end styling.

The new ForTwo will carry over a lot of the styling from the Smart Forvision Concept shown in 2011 but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see beyond the front end.
Smart is targeting higher sales volumes in the US, so the ForTwo will be more Americanised than its Renault cousin.
The model will be powered by a new Renault three-cylinder engine, with an electric-drive model in the works.
SMART 4X4?
The German automaker has reiterated the car's purpose in a hilarious video. The clip shows a ForTwo attempting to take on the great outdoors and, unsurprisingly, it fails miserably.
The purpose of the video is to take a jab at SUV owners in cities and states its ForTwo is "as good as an off-roader in the city..."
