According to Kilfoil the 130i will go on sale locally early in 2006.
BMW 130i
The new 1 Series rangetopper will be the 130i featuring a 3-litre straight-six engine with a power output of 195 kW while torque is a whopping 315 Nm. This hot hatch will bullet from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and its top speed is limited to 250 km/h. Furthermore it will also look the part and it will feature an M sport package trim.
BMW 550i
BMW is replacing the 545i with the 550i. The 550i's 4.8-litre V8 engine kicks out 270 kW and develops 490 Nm of torque at 3 400 r/min. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
BMW 650i
BMW is also closing the book on the 645i and introducing the 650i. As with the 550i this derivative features a 4.8-litre V8 unit with a power output of 270 kW and a torque figure of 490 Nm. In coupe guise it rockets from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (5.7 seconds for the cabriolet).
