The vehicle market in SA remains stable with 53 220 sold through February 2013, according to the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa.
Light commercials were up 4.7% from the same period in 2012; car sales increased by only 0.8%.
VW's Vivo remains on top (2742) in the car market followed by the Toyota Etios (2204) and VW Polo (2192).

Naamsa president Johan van Zyl said that providing fuel as good as that of international markets was vital to providing more efficient vehicles in South Africa.
"The availability of clean fuels, consistent with international specifications, is imperative to enable vehicle manufacturers, importers and distributors in South Africa to offer buyers the benefits of high technology and highly fuel-efficient vehicles."
