LONDON, England - Rolls-Royce has appointed South African Brett Soso as regional director for the Middle East, Africa and South America.
Soso, 42, joins Rolls-Royce from a very successful career in what Rolls-Royce calls "the highly competitive automobile retailing industry in South Africa".
He replaces Geoffrey Briscoe, who is returning to Australia. Soso was managing director of Chery SA and Foton SA.
'SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTION'
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said: "Briscoe made a substantial contribution to our business in the Middle East and leaves Rolls-Royce with our very best wishes.
"We look forward to working with Soso who has extensive experience in the automotive business and who joins the Middle East at an exciting time of business growth.”
Soso will join R-R officially on June 1 2014 and be based at the Rolls-Royce office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
