With the new Subaru Forester due to imminently go on sale , the previous generation was the best-selling model locally in November for the Japanese automaker.
Although this may be due to run out stock left on dealer floors, many units have been sold; 44 flagship Forester SUVs found new homes in the penultimate month of 2018, by far the brand's top-selling model.
It's important to note that Subaru is a much smaller brand in South Africa compared to the juggernauts of Toyota and Volkswagen.

The XV, a crossover with its lofty ride height and four-wheel drive, was second on the list with 41 sold.
There's a sharp drop to the Impreza which only managed to find a paltry eight homes, a shame considering it's quite a decent car.
The Impreza is the most affordable car in the marque's stable, starting at a price of R380 500 for the 2.0i Lineartronic model, in comparison the entry-level Forester costs R407 000.
Getting back to the sales figures, five Outbacks were sold in November and three high-performance WRXs.
