The Toyota Prado leapfrogged to the top of the luxury SUV best-sellers list during September 2018.
With 97 units, it managed to sell six more units ahead of rival Range Rover/RR Sport (91 units). The Prado comprehensively outsold its big brother, the Land Cruiser 200 (71 units).

The Land Rover Discovery, a former top seller in this category, finished behind the Touareg with 61 units, yet staved off stiff competition from the Volvo XC90 (49 units) in sixth place.

Volvo dominates
Slotting in below the big boys, the Volvo XC60 leads the charge for medium luxury SUVs, securing a staggering sales figure of 115 units - a massive margin ahead of its little brother, the XC40 (78 units).
Behind the Swedish siblings, the Jaguar E-Pace (67 units) takes the bronze medal, while the Land Rover Discovery Sport looks solid with 58 models sold. Audi’s Q5, a former chart-topper, signed off 56 units, followed by the Q3 with 54 units.
The roof-dropping Range Rover Evoque moves into seventh with 23 units, followed by Lexus’ NX and RX models; both which have sold 12 units last month. Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio managed to sell three units to complete the top 10.
