Cape Town - The Ford Mustang is once again the best-selling sports car in South Africa.
According to Naamsa, 84 muscle cars were sold in February 2017, more than double the number of units compared to its closest competitor, the Porsche 911 (37).
Interestingly, if you add all sold units from positions two to nine in Naamsa's list, the figure (79 units) stills fall short of the Mustang's dominance in February.
Tough market conditions
The Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxster took a third spot with 17 units sold, ten more than the Jaguar F-Type (7) and Audi R8 (7) in fourth.
Nissan's desirable GT-R found four new owners in sixth place, as did the Ferrari 488 Spider in seventh.
Ferrari sold two Californias and a single 488 GTB sports car to grab 8th and ninth place respectively.
