SA's best-selling bakkies: Toyota Hilux triumphs again

accreditation

The Toyota Hilux is taking no prisoners in the local bakkie market and has experienced stellar sales during the first six months of 2018.

It concludes June 2018 as the best-selling local bakkie, as well as the top-selling vehicle in South Africa overall.

During the course of the month it accumulated a sales figure of 3936 units to place it well ahead of the second-placed Ford Ranger which, in turn, managed 2613 units.

Small danger

The Nissan NP200, the only remaining half-tonne bakkie in our market, has proven itself as a strong seller amongst the big boys. It managed to sell a mammoth 1847 units in the sixth month of the year, well ahead of the Isuzu KB (1372 units) in fourth place.

The Toyota Land Cruiser pick-up (163) and Nissan Navara (126) complete the top ten.
