The first two months of 2019 saw the Audi Q5 leading the charts for our medium luxury SUV category.
For the remainder of the year, however, one SUV outsold everything in its path to solidify its position as the top-selling SUV in this list.
In 2019, the BMW X3 sold off an impressive 2071 units – more than 700 units clear of the Q5!
On its part, the Q5 returned a highly commendable 1334 sales. Alongside the X3, it is the only SUV to have surpassed the 1000-mark for the year.

Sub-1000s
Volvo’s XC60 sees a sales figure of 805 units, followed by the Range Rover Evoque on 769 units. Audi’s Q3 came home in fifth place with 563 units sold.
The BMW X4 saw 533 units sold in 2019, well ahead of the Volvo XC40 on 460 units.
Jaguar’s E-Pace found favour with 448 eager buyers, a hundred more than its cousin, the Land Rover Discovery Sport, on 348 units.
The Lexus UX closes the top ten on 230 units.
The top ten medium luxury SUVs in our list had an accumulative sales figure of 5490 units in 2019.
