Volkswagen again showed its dominance by grabbing the top two positions for best-selling passenger cars though Toyota would have the most number of vehicles in the top ten in July 2018.

The VW Polo and Polo Vivo secured the top two positions, but this time around the bigger Polo got the better of the hot favourite Vivo. VW managed to sell off 2817 Polo’s last month, some way clear of the Vivo’s 2321 units.

Toyota proves popular

The Toyota Corolla/Auris/Quest led the Japanese automaker’s sales charge for passenger cars with a solid figure of 2047 units to go third. The Toyota Fortuner slots into fifth place (1006 units) behind the Hyundai Grandi10 on 1141 units.

The Toyota Yaris and Toyota Rav4 secured sixth and seventh places, respectively, following good figures of 974 units for the former and 949 units for the latter.

The Toyota Etios goes ninth on 830 units to slot in between the Kia Picanto (893 units, eighth place) and Ford Figo (808 units), rounding out the top ten.
