• Range Rover/RR Sport best-selling large luxury SUV in May 2020
• Overall sales figures remain low
• Audi Q8 makes surprise top-three appearance
The sales results for new vehicles in May 2020 are in, and so too the figures for large luxury SUVs.
The Range Rover/RR Sport sold the most number of units on 35, followed by the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 on 21 units. The Audi Q8 did its best to acquire 13 signatures to place it in the top three.
The Volkswagen Touareg, cousin to the Q8, sold eight units, followed by the Range Rover Velar, Volvo XC90, and Jaguar F-Pace - all on seven units.
Lexus' brawny LX rounds out the top ten with three units sold.
"While these numbers might seem low, it's important to note it's somewhat of a niche market. It's exciting to see consumers are still willing to purchase in this segment, and I am hopeful that numbers will begin to climb once the economy begins making a recovery", says Wheels24's Janine Van der Post.
