The Toyota Hilux laid down the gauntlet for 2019 by kicking off the new year where it ended 2018: at the top. It ended January 2019 at the top of the pile following a sales figure of 2794 units, according to Naamsa.
The Hilux's nearest rival, the Ford Ranger, takes its customary second place with 2194 units. In third place, regular contender, the Nissan NP200, continues to run rampant amongst the big hitters with its little half-tonne body. It managed to acquire 1483 signatures.

The Isuzu KB may have a new name, the D-Max, but it did nothing to deter buyers from this solid proposition. It sold 1092 units last month, followed by the Nissan NP300/Hardbody on 621 units.
