Following a steady run at the top, the Volkswagen Polo gave ground to its sibling, the Polo Vivo, at the top of the sales charts.
The Vivo, alongside the Hilux, is the only passenger car to surpass the 3000-mark and at 3009 units in October 2018, is the second best-selling vehicle in South Africa. The bigger Polo managed 2824 units to grab second place.
Ford returns
The Toyota Corolla/Auris/Quest slips into its customary third place with 2161 units sold, while its sibling, the Yaris, moves into forth with 1729. The brawny Toyota Fortuner takes fifth place with 1178 units.

In sixth is a great city slicker, the Hyundai Grandi10 (900 units), while Ford has two products in our top ten. The Fiesta and Figo both exceeded a sales figure of 800 units, but takes the seventh and ninth place, respectively. The Fiesta sold 888 units and the Figo 840.
The Toyota Etios came in eighth with 885 units, while the Kia Picanto slots into the tenth position with 781 units sold.
