Which is better at drifting - a M-badged car or a BMW S1000 RR bike? Watch this insane drift contest with four-times dirt-track World champion Karl Maier riding a modified speedway bike against a BMW M235i .

South Africa’s own SupaDrift Series will for the first time be smoking at the Red Star Raceway in Mpumulanga through February 28 and March 1 2015 - the series' first visit there. Red Star is traditionally a bike track but will welcome drifters with their hair-raising speeds.

Drivers are expected to hit 140km/h before locking their wheels and engaging the drift. Fresh from a 2014 overall win, superstar Wade van Zummeren will be back to fight for his title.

Right behind him will be notorious 2013 champion and 2014's runner-up, Jason Webb. Webb will be debuting a Nissan S13 200SX. A crash while up against Van Zummerman took him out of the 2014 final, so their top-of-the-table battle will be one to watch.

Mariska Dyke, just 17, from Nigel is expected to make her maiden appearance and if she competes will set a record for SA’s youngest lady to hit the tar in the competition.

The SupaDrift Series ‘sideways craze’ is the art of power-sliding through corners at high speed. It's a modern motorsport phenomenon intended for the whole family. For those unable to make it to the track, the entire series will also be streamed live over the internet.

Mpumalangans are in for an epic weekend of great motorsport action.

Tickets at the gate R80 for adults, R50 for children. Red Star Raceway, Delmas, Mpumalanga over Feb 28 / March 1 2015.
