Police enforce calm around Schumi home

GLAND, Switzerland - Swiss police are enforcing calm around Michael Schumacher's house in this small Swiss town.

The F1 legend returned home to his estate on the edge of Lake Geneva after eight months in hospitals in France and Switzerland. Although his homecoming was warmly welcomed as good news the world over it attracted a swarm of photographers and TV crew.

Reportedly, a Russian news agency even set up a live video stream outside Schumacher's home.

'DISTURBING THE CALM'

According to Germany's Bild newspaper: "The police of Gland responded quickly. They patrol Schumacher's estate on Lake Geneva all night, sending photographers and broadcasters away."

A police spokesperson confirmed: "We do not want intrusive people disturbing the calm around the house."

Bild said the first hours of Schumacher's return home went smoothly. He is apparently being tended by a full-time medical team that includes nurses and physiotherapists.
