The new Meriva range is:

  • 1.6 Enjoy
  • 1.7 CDTI Enjoy

    The 1.4 Meriva Essentia and the 1.6 Enjoy are powered by Opel?s latest generation TWINPORT engines.

    The 1.4 litre TWINPORT engine fitted to the Meriva Essentia produces 66kW at 5 600 r/min and 125 Nm at 4 000 r/min.

    Power output for the The 1.6 litre TWINPORT engine is 77 kW at 6 000 r/min, three kW more than its predecessor, and torque is 150 Nm at 3 900 r/min.

    The 1.7 CDTI diesel engine of the Meriva 1.7 CDTI Enjoy is carried over. This engine produces 77 kW at 4 400 r/min. Torque is a healthy 240 Nm at 2 300 r/min.

    Externally the new Meriva is recognized by a new front end treatment.

    A revised grille with bold chrome crossbar and Opel logo compliment the large central and side air intakes in the lower bumper. At the rear chrome detailing is added as are dark tinted tail lights.

    Interior styling is revised with the use of new modern fabric designs and colours while the instrument cluster features new graphics for a fresh modern look.

    The Meriva five-door comes standard with DSA (Dynamic Safety) suspension, ABS, disc brakes at all four wheels (with ventilated disks at the front), electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and brake assist.

    For a high level of passive safety the Opel Meriva comes equipped with an extensive safety package which includes airbags and seat belt tensioners. An array of comfort features are also standard on all Meriva models.

    Warranty cover is 3 years/100 000 kilometres with roadside assistance provided during the warranty period. Opel offers a service or maintenance plan as an optional on-cost purchase.
