NEW CIVIC SPORT
The Civic line-up for Europe has been expanded with the introduction of a new derivative - the Civic Sport. It's based on the Civic hatchback with the choice of a 1.6 88kW diesel or 1.8 104kW petrol engine. Each is decorated with a colour-coded spoiler and 17” alloy rims.
The Civic Sport borrows design elements from the upcoming Type R, among them new bumper sporting a lower grille mesh and black roof-lining.
All Civics will get Honda’s CityBrake system, designed to help avoid or mitigate a low-speed (30km/h or less) collision. It uses radar to scan the road and will brake if the driver does not react to the danger.
Honda’s news media conference will take place at the 2014 Paris auto show on October 2.
