Monza marshals threaten strike

Marshals scheduled to work throughout the upcoming 2013 Italian F! GP are threatening to strike. They haven't been paid travel expenses since the 2012 Monza race!

MONZA, Italy - The marshals supposesd to cover the Italian GP at Monza this weekend are reportedly angry that they have not been reimbursed for travel expenses dating back to the 2012 Italian GP.

They say they should have been paid by the Italian Automobile Club.

The headline of the Milan daily Il Giorno reads: "Shadow of a strike".

A Monza marshal said: "There are some who think only of the race, forgetting that somebody is making money at the expense of our labour.

"Despite our passion, many of us are thinking the only way to be heard is to strike."
