LONDON, England - Steph Jeavons is about to embark on a solo ride around the world through 42 countries on a Honda CRF250L.

The trip, cleverly named "One Steph Beyond", is intended to raise money for a UK charity, Rally 4 Life.

Jeavons, 38, said: "It's something I've wanted to do for more years than I care to remember. After much deliberation, I decided to do it. I'm no stranger to riding off-road or in remote places. I was an off-road instructor for several years."

THE GREAT TREK

Jeavons will begin her trip on March 23 from the famous Ace Cafe in London before heading across the English Channel and beginning the foreign leg of her trip in Europe.

Motorcycle tracking specialist Bike Trac will will keep tabs on Jeavons' progress throughout her journey.

After Europe Jeavons plans to take her Honda through Turkey, Iran, United Arab Emirates, India, Nepal, Thailand, Australia, South America, North America and Canada before heading across to Morocco, returning to Europe in 2015.

Bike Trac's Bill Taylor said: "With standard functions such as "Bike-Down" included in her tracking equipment, if Steph does take a tumble, the system will text her emergency contacts to notify them that she may be in trouble."

Supporters can follow Steph live throughout the journey.
