PIKES PEAK, Colorado - Nine-times World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb blitzed his way to a record time of 8min13.878 in the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Unlimited Class.
The US course has 156 wrist-sapping bends winding up the 19.3km route towards the 4.2km-high finish.

The veteran, behind the wheel of his 652kW Peugeot 208 T16, smashed the Pikes Peak record of 9min46.164 and became the first driver to complete the course in less than nine minutes.
Closest rival Rhys Millen, driving his Hyundai RMR PM580-T, broke his own Pikes Peak record with a time of 9min02.192.
