PRETORIA, South Africa - The Isuzu Off-Road Academy is expanding its 4x4 off-road driver training at the Gerotek test facility west of Pretoria with "a tougher and more comprehensive" regimen.

Lead instructor Grant McCleery said: "Our popular training programme has received numerous requests from people who have undergone basic 4x4 training. We have responded with the introduction of a two-day advanced course which will offer intensive training for experienced drivers and avid off-road enthusiasts."

NEW ADVANCED COURSE

The course covers vehicle recovery, mechanical knowledge, correct vehicle packing procedures and techniques for towing a trailer or caravan. The existing one-day course covers 4x4 orientation, basic off-road driving techniques and other basic 4x4 skills.

The Isuzu Off-Road Academy can also train candidates anywhere in South Africa and in neighbouring countries where training is a vital safety tool.
