India's highly competitive car market is seen as a growing point for US automaker Ford.

The company posted a profit in the country for the first time in decades with its success stemming from the needs of the consumer.

Growing steadily

Sourcing parts locally and working in tandem with local partner Mahindra is Ford's way in which to delve further into the market.
