Toyota's Van Zyl to straddle Europe and Africa

<b>EURO AND AFRICA CEO:</b> Toyota SA’s president and CEO, Johan van Zyl, will assume the responsibility as CEO of Toyota Europe, this in addition to looking after the Africa region. <i>Image: Toyota</i>

Due to structural changes within Toyota, Toyota South Africa's president and CEO Johan van Zyl's portfolio will also assume responsibility as Toyota Europe's CEO.

The new role is in addition to his existing responsibility as Toyota's Africa region CEO.

Van Zyl said: "This is a fantastic career opportunity and I am very excited about this new challenge. However, I want to reiterate that my home will always be South Africa and I remain committed to the development of the industry in this country."
