Jeep doubles UK market share in a year

Jeep’s dominance in the 4x4 market continues to gain momentum in the UK as figures revealed today (July 9 2015) show new car registrations rose by 161% in June 2015 against the same period in 2014.

The 4x4 brand registered 918 new cars in June (352 in June 2014) to give Jeep a 0.4% market share (0.2% in 2014).

BEST YEAR YET?

It was the 22nd consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth for the brand in the UK and made Jeep the fastest-growing mainstream automotive brand there. It was Jeep’s best June yet in the UK.

Jeep UK head-of-brand Damien Dally said: "Comparing June 2015 with June 2014, these figures make amazing reading. Jeep continues to grow in the UK, without question, but it now also looks like we are on track for our best year yet.

“That’s thanks in part to the successful launch of the Jeep Renegade SUV but all models in the Jeep range are performing well."
