Ferrari has confirmed that Kimi Raikkonen will return to the team as replacement for Felipe Massa and partner to Fernando Alonso in 2014.
MARANELLO, Italy - Ferrari says Kimi Raikkonen will return as a replacement for Felipe Massa, giving the Formula 1 team a new partner for Fernando Alonso and two top drivers in 2014.
The deal, Ferrari adds, is for 2014 and 2015.
The expected move comes several hours after Massa announced he would leave Ferrari after the seven final races of the season.
Raikkonen, 33, and from Finland, drives for Lotus but had been heavily linked to a return to Ferrari. He raced for Ferrari from 2007-09 and his World title in 2007 was the last time Ferrari won the Driver's championship.
Alonso and Raikkonen between them have won three F1 titles and 52 races.
