BUDAPEST, Hungary - Nico Hulkenberg has laughed off suggestions he is about to leave the Sauber team after a spell of turbulence on, and off, the track.
The German said he was confident he would keep his seat with the Swiss outfit despite rumours surrounding his future after a major investment by Russian interests.
Hulkenberg joined Sauber after an impressive 2012 season with Force India.
'THEY MAKE ME LAUGH'
He said: "It's rubbish - all of these stories, they make me laugh, make me smile. I read on Twitter, where people can write to me, and a bunch of people have a discussion and the next thing I am thinking 'where has all this come from?'"
He felt entirely confident about his future.
"To be honest," he emphasised, "I feel very comfortable in my seat and in my skin. You can never be 100% sure in this business but I feel I do a decent job."
