The Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) has launched a mobile application that allows SA road users to report problems.
The "Find & Fix" mobile app will enable road users to report potholes, faulty traffic signals, storm water drains, manhole covers and other infrastructure issues to the JRA, according to the company's managing director Skhumbuzo Macozoma.
'PROVIDE PHOTO EVIDENCE'
Macozoma said: "The app provides an accurate location with GPS co-ordinates, and makes it easy to provide photo evidence, which complements the JRA's ability to plan repairs more scientifically based on reports and data received."
The application, tagged as "Snap it, send it, and we'll fix it", was the first of its kind in South Africa, as well as the African continent and southern hemisphere, said Macozoma.
According to the JRA: The application is available for free download on most mobile operating system platforms, including Windows Phone 8 devices, Android, and iOS for Apple.
