Car theft is prevalent in South Africa with thousands of victims falling prey to new tricks of a nefarious trade. South African owners of Ford Fiesta and EcoSport models are affected by major security breaches: Criminals are breaking into their cars with relative ease by manipulating "door locks",  News24 reported.

Another technique that's on the rise among criminals is remote-jamming; nearby thieves will use a remote to 'jam' the signal from your car-key and gain easy access to your belongings without any effort.
