It might not be summer right now, but there are a few hot days and the weather will start getting warmer as we head towards the end of the year. That means your car's interior will be extremely hot after being left in the sun - but it doesn't have to be that way.

Probably the worst thing about having your car parked in the sun is how hot the steering wheel, door panels and leather seats can get, or even the gear lever.

Keep a cool head

Fear not - there are a few ways in which to beat the heat and have your car keep a cool.

Parking your car in the shade is one of the most effective ways to keep your car cool but there won't always be instances where this is an option.

Putting a towel over your steering wheel prevents uncomfortable handling and cracking open a window helps with circulation if you're not too keen on using the air con.
