Traffic and inconsiderate motorists can often cause tempers to flare behind the wheel. Earlier in October we published the result of a study revealing that drivers swear 41 times for every 160km travelled.

OnePoll.com polled 2000 drivers and found they typically swear 41 times during every 160km travelled. A typical motorist commutes 600km to and from work during an average month and in the process they’ll curse 152 times on average in that period, reports the poll.

Everyday thousands of South Africans are bogged down in heavy traffic and choose to vent their frustrations at fellow road users. We asked our readers whether they're foul-mouthed behind the wheel and the results reveal the vast majority of respondents are potty-mouthed.

In our poll, 43% of our readers curse at road users, believing there are too many bad drivers on our road.
