First time car-buyers are spoilt for choice in our local market. Janine Van der Posts takes a look at some of the cars in the entry-level segment.
About every single automaker in our local market has an entry-level offering for first-time buyers, or young families to consider.
In no particular order or rank, we list the first three entries, based on the most-sold according to Naamsa monthly figures. By clicking on the vote button on the right of each image, you can highlight which of the three vehicles you would prefer.
Naturally the Volkswagen Polo Vivo is a hot contender as SA's most popular hatchback, and one of the country's best-selling models. Next one would assume Toyota's little Aygo takes a spot, but it is hugely outnumbered by the Renault Kwid, followed by the Datsun Go.
In our next installment, we'll take a look at another three models in this segment.
